Pastor Mark Cordes
For over thirty years, it has been his privilege to gather broken hearts for healing and to bring wandering souls into the care of Jesus our Good Shepherd. His goal in life is to share what a Friend we have in Jesus. He enjoys building furniture and traveling. Raising a family with his college sweetheart and now loving grandchildren helps him appreciate seeing other families grow in faith too. He tells the comforting message of God’s forgiveness and grace in friendly chats, classes and messages. “Come and see!”

Pastor Joel Gawrisch
In 2015, Pastor Joel Gawrisch joined the pastoral staff at New Life to assist with the growing ministry opportunities in the greater Shoreview community. His previous experience at a multisite congregation in the Twin Cities lends itself to the areas of ministry he is called to serve at New Life: worship, outreach, and strategic planning. His position is part-time, allowing him to also serve in a number of ways for our greater church body, including as a church consultant through the Commission on Congregational Counseling and as a member of the New Hymnal Project.
Pastor Gawrisch is married and has two sons. He enjoys music, reading, family time, and outdoor activities.
